ACA Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) (3 days)
For those paddlers who wish to become Certified Sea Kayaking Instructors, this course is the pre-requisite for the Instructor Certification Exam. The three days will allow students to become familiar with the standards that will be required to become an instructor. Students ideally will have been paddling for some time and had some experience teaching kayaking to beginners. Feedback will be provided throughout the class by the Instructor Trainers as well as by the other candidates.

ACA Instructor Certification Exam (ICE) (3 days)
To participate in the exam, students must have completed the Instructor Development Workshop (IDW). The three days will be used to assess instructor candidates on their paddling and modelling skills, teaching ability, technical knowledge, and group management and leadership on the water. The format is similar to the IDW but gives you, the candidate, the chance to show the trainers your stuff. Challenging but a great learning experience! Pre-registration required.
